June 29, 2018

By October Staff, June 29, 2018

With 4th of July around the corner, it seems like as good of a time as any to explore some new brews. Rather than playing roulette in your local beer aisle, take a pointer from October’s almost-experts. These are our highest rated beers from the month of June.

89: Shacksbury Cider's Rosé

“It’s a rosé that’s deceptively drinkable. It’ll be gone before your food arrives, so make sure you order another, get the perfect filter ready and let the world know where you are.” —Matt Osgood

90: 4 Hands Brewing Co.’s Incarnation

“Maybe the best IPA that I’ve had this year hails from neither coast, but rather the banks of the Mississippi River, somewhere in the middle.” —Matt Osgood

90: Golden Road Brewing’s Wolf Pop

“Pairing this much flavor with a light ABV and body is an impressive feat in brewing. For this summer, Wolf Pup may be my new go-to session IPA.” —Tucker Anders

92: Weihenstephaner and Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.’s Braupakt

“Collaborations often miss with attempts to offer a modern take on a classic beer. This is not one of those collaborations. It’s an easy-drinking summertime beer worthy of a return in future years.” —Jared Paventi

93: Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.’s Bigfoot

“It says right there on the label that Bigfoot is a 'cult classic,' and who am I to argue? A beer that my wife and I both enjoy? Consider me brainwashed.” —Pete Keeley
