Stuck at Home? These Breweries Will Bring the Beer to You

March 16, 2020

By Sarah Freeman, March 16, 2020

In an attempt to slow the spread of coronavirus, many breweries have closed their taprooms, either in response to government mandates or voluntarily. But just because taprooms are closed doesn’t mean the beer will stop flowing. Breweries around the world are getting creative when it comes to supporting their employees and getting beer to their customers. Several have begun to offer delivery, with more, such as Jack’s Abby in Framingham, Massachusetts, in the process of rolling out similar services. These are the breweries and beer shops currently offering delivery. We will continue to update this as needed.

Denizens Brewing Co.

In Maryland, Denizens Brewing Co. is servicing its customers by rolling out the Denizens Beermobile. The Beermobile will bring six-packs of beer, such as its Born Bohemian Pils and Animal Hazy IPA, to customers in Silver Spring and Riverdale Park. The brewery is in the process of expanding its delivery area and adding food delivery via the Beermobile. Orders may be placed through this online form.

Wolf’s Ridge Brewing

Ohio’s Wolf’s Ridge Brewing is temporarily offering beer delivery to Columbus residents via its website. Customers may order six-packs of seven different beers, including Hop Pink IPA and Protegee strawberry table saison, as well as bottles of some of its specialty beers, such as Blackberry Red Legacy, a Flanders-style sour red ale aged in bourbon barrels.

Platform Beer Co.

Elsewhere in Ohio—Cleveland, Cincinnati, and Columbus—Platform Beer Co. is offering free delivery for orders of $20 or more. The brewery is offering a wide array of beers and hard seltzer on its website, including Haze Jude IPA and Open Market white ale.

Craft Beer Cellar

Massachusetts’s Craft Beer Cellar is servicing the Boston area with delivery from curbside pickup. Its Belmont location has gone a step further with beer and book delivery. The beer store has cans and bottles available from hundreds of breweries, including Night Shift and Lawson’s Finest Liquids. Orders can be placed online and, if you’ve also ordered a book from nearby Belmont Books, leave a note in the order and Craft Beer Cellar will deliver that as well.

Kichesippi Beer Co.

If you are in Ottawa, Kichesippi will bring the beer to you. The brewery has ten different beers available online, from Heller Highwater to Cheshire Cat Pilsner, and the brewery will deliver for free if you order more than 12 cans.

Customers in the UK can download the Hop Drop app and get BrewDog beers delivered direct to your door. The app, which is available on the App Store and Google Play, connects customers to its nearest BrewDog location, where they can order bottles, cans, draught beer in a 500-ml crowlers, wine, and spirits for delivery.

WellBeing Brewing

As a non-alcoholic beer company, WellBeing has the ability to ship throughout the country. Order its Victory Citrus Wheat or Intentional IPA to stock your fridge with some non-alcoholic options. Orders can be placed online and 12 and 16-packs ship for free.

Against the Grain Brewery

Louisville’s Against the Grain has begun taking curbside pick-up and delivery orders by phone. Give them a call to get your hands on cans of A Beer premium lager or Citra Ass Down IPA, or splurge on a bottle of bourbon barrel-aged 70K. The brewery is also offering a selection of food items, such as a brisket sandwich and mac and cheese, from its restaurant to-go.

Cinderlands Beer Co.

Pittsburgh’s Cinderlands Beer Co. is offering curbside pick-up as well as delivery to much of the Pittcburgh area through the Toast. Customers can order cans of its Raspberry Whipper Berliner Weisse and Sequoical triple IPA as well as more limited offerings, including bottles of Desert Solitaire saison and housemade sourdough bread.
