While every Pride is an occasion for the LGBTQ+ community to come together, this year is especially important. This June marks the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots, not to mention four years since the U.S. Supreme Court legalized same-sex marriage throughout the country. There is still progress left to be made, but these strides forward call for a celebration.

That’s why Jonathan Van Ness, star of Netflix megahit Queer Eye, decided to take a moment to champion marriage equality and honor the businesses that help lift up the LGBTQ+ community. On June 4, Van Ness will join one couple in holy matrimony at Elysian Brewing’s newly renovated Capitol Hill brewpub. The ceremony already promises to be fabulously fun—full of good beer, good vibes, and a message of tolerance and inclusivity.

It is, in a word, shamazing.

“I’m so excited to team up with Elysian Brewing during Seattle Pride to share the message that all people should be free and proud to express themselves as they are,” Jonathan Van Ness says. “I can’t wait for June!”

Couples hoping for a chance to tie the knot with Van Ness’s blessing can enter to win by sharing their story on video on Instagram. Tell the world how you met and why your significant other is the one using the hashtags #MarryUsJVN and #Contest, while tagging both @ElysianBrewing and @SeattlePride. The winners will find out between May 13 and 15, giving them just enough time to tell families and friends of their very special rush to the altar.

I want Elysian to always be a safe place where anyone within our network can show up as their authentic selves. You don’t need to change who you are to make other people feel comfortable.”

“We couldn’t think of a better way to kick off Seattle Pride festivities, than with this contest in partnership with Elysian Brewing,” says Kevin Toovey, President of Seattle Pride. “We can’t wait to celebrate the wedding of the summer with one lucky couple come June!”

To further show their support, the team at Elysian Brewing is rereleasing GLITTERis Pride Ale, a fruit-forward brew with a 4.4% ABV and juicy raspberry and blackberry purée. Four-packs of these rainbow-hued cans hit the shelves on June 3 and a portion of the proceeds go to benefit Pride. It’s all part of the brewery’s ongoing efforts to make sure that everyone knows they are welcome and that love is love.

“I want Elysian to always be a safe place where anyone within our network can show up as their authentic selves,” says Joe Bisacca, co-founder of Elysian Brewing. “You don’t need to change who you are to make other people feel comfortable.”
