It’s been said that beer tastes better in the right environment. Whether that’s on the patio with friends or at a two-day festival featuring 20 musical acts, 75 breweries from over a dozen countries, and edible delights from some of the world's best chefs. About that second thing… It’s OctFest, which returns to New York City for its second year on September 8 and 9.

You should probably snag some tickets now.

It’s all happening on Governors Island, where game-changing Los Angeles rapper Vince Staples and Grammy-winning indie-rock icons The Flaming Lips provide the soundtrack for a weekend filled with beers from around the world. Start with local favorites from LIC Beer Project, before perusing art-covered cans from Canada’s Collective Arts Brewing, coastal-inspired sips from Blue Point Brewing Company and some of the finest ale in all of Italy from Birra del Borgo. Thirsty for more? Check out the first wave of brewers below and artists right here.

Tickets cost $75 for a single day and $140 for a weekend pass, which includes 15 beer samples per day. Here at October, we love beer, but we also love music and food and celebrating all of those things at the same time. Join us in doing so at OctFest.
